Ordering Process

Optional Consultation
Phone or Virtual
Schedule your personal 30-minute phone or virtual consultation with the owner and cake artist of Sweet Elevations – Alicia Permenter. Alicia will use her expertise to determine the best dessert selections and custom design options for your preferred desserts, while capturing the essence of your style and uniqueness. She will also provide options and direction on how to elevate your dessert experience to the next level for your event.
Initial consultations are held Tuesday – Thursday by appointment only, and based on availability.

To-Go Tastings
Our to-go tasting boxes are the perfect for those planning a celebration or event and are interested in placing a future cake or cupcake order with us. The to-go box includes our top six requested cake and buttercream flavor combinations. T0-go tasting boxes must be ordered in advance. The fee for a to-go tasting box is $65.00.
We do not offer to-go tastings boxes for our petite or classic desserts.
03.
Estimate
The estimate includes design details for the celebration cake and possible other dessert options, inspiration photos provided by both the client and Sweet Elevations, pricing, and contract terms. The non-refundable and non-transferable 50% retainer and signed Terms of Service is required to secure your date (and to start the design phase if a mock is determined to be necessary by Sweet Elevations). Should your date change, we will do our best to honor your new date based on availability.
Estimates are provided only after the submission of the Celebration Cakes and Desserts Order Form.
04.
Final Deposit
The remaining balance is due 2 weeks (or sooner depending on the date the order was secured) before the celebration date in order for the final production phase to begin. Once the order goes into production, revisions can not be made unless for a special circumstance. Additional costs may apply in these cases.
05.
Pick-Up or Delivery
We will communicate directly with either you or your planner about any last minute details to ensure a smooth pick-up or delivery process, ensuring that not one detail is out of place.

Cupcakes
Cupcakes are a versatile and crowd-pleasing dessert option that adds a touch of sweetness and charm to any event. Whether served as the main dessert or as part of a larger dessert spread, they are sure to be a hit with guests of all ages.
We customize our cupcakes to suit the theme or color scheme of your event. From frosting colors and decorations to edible toppers and fondant shapes, the possibilities for customization are endless.
Other Dessert Options
In addition to our cakes and cupcakes, we also offer standard and petite size desserts, along with the flexibility of ordering à la carte or as part of a custom-designed dessert table.
Fully designed custom dessert tables start from $1000.00, and include your choice of desserts (minimum of four desserts from our menu), styling of the dessert table (includes rental of decor, platters, trays, stands, etc.), delivery, setup, breakdown, and the retrieval of our personal decor within 50 miles of our baking studio in Fort Washington, Maryland. Inspiration from the decor used for the celebration or event is incorporated into the design of the dessert table. Tableware, stands, platters, jars, scoops, stands, labels, and/or other necessary items needed to create the requested vision for the dessert buffet are also included within the total cost.
Affordable Cake Options
Our dedication to creating unforgettable experiences extends to our line of affordable celebration cakes. We’re here to design a cake that fits your vision, style, and budget while maintaining the quality and artistry that we’re known for.
Affordable cake options start from $120.00. Pricing varies depending on the size of the cake and the preferred decorative accents.

Additional decor and detail may not be added to our Affordable Cake Options. Inspiration boards and/or mock sketches are not provided for affordable cake orders.

Our pricing varies on the style of each cake.
For wedding cakes, our CLASSIC cakes (simple, elegant, minimalist, and textural), start from $650.00 for two tiers. Our GOLD cakes (delicate details, beautiful textures, handcrafted accents and/or sugar flower arrangements) start from $825.00 for two tiers. Our LUXURY cakes (show-stopping handcrafted accents and/or sugar flower arrangements, intricate details) start from $1000.00 for two tiers.
For celebration cakes, our CLASSIC cakes (simple, elegant, minimalist, and textural), start from $250.00 for one tier (7” and up). Our GOLD cakes (delicate details, beautiful textures, handcrafted accents and/or sugar flower arrangements) start from $425.00 for one tier (7” and up). We do suggest couples schedule an in-person tasting and consultation before placing a wedding order. During the tasting and consultation, you will have the opportunity to sample our top requested wedding cake flavors and discuss specific details pertaining to your cake design (and possible additional dessert items).
If you are unable to schedule an in-person tasting, there is an option to schedule a to-go tasting box with a follow-up consultation via email, phone, or ZOOM.
Tastings are $115.00 for up to four guests. This fee is waived if the non-refundable retainer fee of $375.00 is paid prior to the scheduling of the tasting.
If you choose to secure your date without a tasting and consultation, there is the option to secure your date on our calendar with payment of a non-refundable retainer fee of $375.00. This payment will go towards the nonrefundable 50% retainer that is required to secure your date and start the design phase.

We create wedding and celebration cakes, classic dessert specialties for weddings, celebrations and events, and custom dessert tables?
If pick-up is not an option at our Oxon Hill Pick-Up location, we do offer delivery starting at $25.00. We do not provide delivery for locations 70 miles from our cake studio in Fort Washington, MD.
We do not make cake pops, but if there is a request for cake pops in addition to a cake, cupcake or classic dessert order, we will partner with another baker in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area to place the cake-pop order.
We do offer cookies such as chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies, but we do not offer custom decorative cookies. If there is a request for custom decorative cookies in addition to a cake, cupcake or classic dessert order, we will partner with Casi Cielo Cookies in Sterling, VA to place and pick-up the order.
We are scheduled to be closed on Sundays and Mondays, but if you inquire about either day, we will check our personal calendars and confirm whether or not we are available to fulfill your order for that specific day
